Services Offered:

Federal and State Safety Compliance Auditing and Reviews Program

Your company’s operations can be reviewed through comprehensive DOT like compliance audits in accordance with the standards established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, US Department of Transportation, and your State Department of Transportation. We can thoroughly review your Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to determine treads in whether you are or are not in compliance with the regulations. We are available to manage your FMCSA (DOT) audit and interface with FMCSA and State investigators during the auditing process. Further, comprehensive safety reviews can be conducted; to include reviews of policies and procedures to manage drivers and vehicles, and evaluation accidents.

We are dedicated to ensuring you are in full compliance with Federal and State DOT rules and regulations. We can walk your company through every step necessary to increase your safety record, understand the regulations and achieve full compliance. Federal and State DOT regulations are confusing, complex and always changing. Let us help you avoid costly fines and penalties by improving your compliance and safety rating.

Employing an outside firm to perform a DOT compliance review gives you an opportunity to review your compliance status from a completely objective, unbiased perspective. Our compliance review process covers all documents that the auditor will be reviewing; driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing records, driver daily logs and Hours of Service records, vehicle inspection records, maintenance records, training records, accident record keeping and insurance documents. A comprehensive summary report is provided after each review and recommendations are made for taking immediate corrective action.

Training/Seminars – We can arrange and conduct complete training and seminar programs for drivers, mechanics, office staff and managers on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations, understanding of Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) data, accident and safety related topics. To stay in compliance you are required to know Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulation 390.3 (e) “Knowledge of and compliance with the regulations.” With our training we can bring your staff this knowledge to comply with these regulations. This can lead to better roadside enforcement inspections, which can lead to better CSA scores and a safer company with less down time.

Accident Analysis – One of the keys to reducing accidents is to understand why they happen. In many cases, the public assumes the CDL driver is at fault. However, there are many other factors to consider such as location, type of load, the other driver and/or vehicle, and weather conditions. Our understanding of the transportation industry and accident investigation lets us analyze your accident data and outline an accident reduction plan for your company.

Accident Investigations – We can respond as your on-site representative when your vehicles are involved in a collision. Our experience and understanding of the industry and its accident investigation techniques will provide you with a more accurate understanding as to how the accident occurred and what factors may have been involved.

In addition to a complete audit we can do limited reviews of any of the following:

Review HOS Records – We will audit your drivers HOS and exempt logs to maintain compliance with CFR 49, Part 395. This consists of trained log book auditors visually scrutinizing each log for form and manner, as well as all other violations. We identify any “red flags” that can subject your company to enforcement actions.

Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (Post Trip) – Driver vehicle inspection reports are an integral part of any company attaining a quality safety and compliance record. We review your on file DVIR’s to ensure you are complying with the regulations.

Review Inspection, Repair & Maintenance Records – Maintenance records are reviewed to insure you are in compliance with the regulations.

Policy & Procedure Development Services – We can assist you in developing and writing policies and procedures for your carrier operation.

Regulatory Guidance Assistance – We will be there to assist you in getting the correct answers to your regulatory questions.

Review Roadside DOT Inspections – Prove guidance on possible causes to violations and corrective actions to mitigate them in the future. Give you the knowledge to fully understand the enforcement road side inspection program and North American Out of Service criteria and how it effects your company and its overall safety rating.

Challenges to SafeStat Data – We will review your roadside inspections for possible errors and assist by providing guidance on requesting a correction, if warranted, to correct your Safe Stat and CSA records.

Representation During Compliance Reviews & Audits – Federal Compliance Reviews and State Compliance Audits can be challenging. We offer representation at both Federal Compliance Reviews & State Compliance Reviews. We will assist your preparation to ensure all documents will be ready for the auditor and will guide you in answering the auditor’s questions during the audit.
